Two Rivers Chapter Assist Illinois Division in Hosting Chapter Success Workshop (June, 2008)
The Two Rivers Chapter is very pleased to have been able to provide support to the Illinois Division in hosting their Chapter Success Workshop on June 21, 2008. Fifty members from chapters across the state participated in this full day workshop with program speakers JoEllen Pickett CPS of the Golden Corridor Chapter (Schaumburg); Marie Herman CIWD, ATM-B of the Two Rivers Chapter; and Elizabeth Winters CAP/CPS, CMP of Chicago Lake Shore Chapter (Chicago). An outstanding time was had by all.
Two Rivers Chapter Networking Event (June, 2008)
The Two Rivers Chapter offered another members only networking event in June by arranging for dinner at Domo 77 Japanese Steakhouse. This will be the last membership outing of the 2007-2008 program year. Our next networking event will be held in the fall.

Two Rivers Chapter Offers Hands On Computer Class May 17, 2008 (March, 2008)
The Two Rivers Chapter is proud to announce that we will hold our next hands on computer class on Saturday May 17, 2008 at Edward Hospital in Naperville. The program for this class will cover Sharing Data Between Microsoft Office Programs. We'll learn how to transfer data between programs with minimal trouble.

Two Rivers Chapter Offers 3rd Annual Winter Seminar (February, 2008)
The Two Rivers Chapter is very excited to announce our absolutely fabulous 3rd annual half day Winter Seminar, "Discover Confidence!". This workshop will teach the attendees how to find their inner confidence with these special speakers: Felicia Slattery of Transformative Journeys speaking on "Beating Your Inner Critic Into Submission"; Dick Poirier DTM of Toastmasters discussing "Presenting Yourself With Confidence" and Dr. Laura Bokar presenting "Encouraging Others to Value You". This unique event is set to break all attendance records for our winter seminar!
Two Rivers Chapter Offers Virtual Computer Class (January, 2008)
The Two Rivers Chapter prides itself on offering many unique benefits. In January, we held a special computer class, led by Patricia Glade of BP. She taught attendees how to organize virtual meetings utilizing internet web conferencing technology. This class was attended by individuals from across the state of Illinois!
Two Rivers Chapter Collects Toys for Toys for Tots (December, 2007)
The Two Rivers Chapter collected numerous toys and held a silent auction at our December meeting with the proceeds benefitting the U.S. Marine Corps. Toys for Tots campaign. We are honored to be able to support this fine organization with this community service project.

Members Only Networking Event, December 3, 2007 (October, 2007)
The Two Rivers Chapter will be hosting our next members only networking event at Dream Dinners in Naperville on December 3, 2007. Participants will snack on refreshments, get a tour of the facility, and bring home a freshly prepared entree for their families. This free event provides another avenue for Two Rivers Chapter members to interact and network with each other in a friendly social environment.
New Treasurer Elected for Two Rivers Chapter (September, 2007)
Catherine Korth, CPS has joined the Two Rivers Chapter Board in the role as Treasurer for the 2007-2008 year. Catherine works at Ryan Construction in Naperville and brings a wealth of IAAP experience to her position.
Two Rivers Chapter Travels to International Convention (August, 2007)
Four members of the Two Rivers Chapter traveled to Tampa, FL for the 62nd annual International Convention and Education Forum. They attended educational workshops, accepted the Avery Dennison Great Results Chapter and Division Achievement Awards, hosted an interchapter brainstorming breakfast and more.

President Lisa Olson Awarded Distinguished Chapter President Award (July, 2007)
President Lisa Olson was awarded the Distinguished Chapter President Award for the 2006-2007 year. This special honor is given to those chapters which experience a significant membership gain during the year. The Two Rivers Chapter Presidents have won this award for every year of our existence and we are very pleased that Lisa has continued the tradition.
